We'll come back soon!

The project leader, nkenkou, will take university admission tests on January 16 & 17, and February 25 & 26, 2010. Since he wishes to prepare for the tests, we have interrupted Ecolinux Project temporarily. Please understand his situation as well and stay tuned.

Ecolinux vs X/Ubuntu / Windows XP

Ecolinux is a X/Ubuntu-based linux distribution. It is optimized for low-performance PCs—not only old ones, but also netbooks.

Ecolinux comes with few applications compared with X/Ubuntu. It has Xfce and Firefox, but not games or other applicatons. Still you can also get wide-variety of software from the Debian repository with a few simple steps. It works with so few software and services that your system will keep better performance. Besides, its installation requires only 300 MB of the HD capacity, whereas 1.5 GB for Xubuntu & Windows XP, and 4GB for Ubuntu.

Ecolinux vs Ecolinux-light

Ecolinux-light, based on fluxbox instead of Xfce, is even lighter than the original version. For advanced users.
